GuideWell Connect Acquires Onlife Health

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Feb. 26, 2019 

GuideWell Connect today announced it has acquired Onlife Health Inc. (Onlife) from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and Cambia Health Solutions. Onlife is a technology-enabled health and wellness company serving 11 million people through contracts with health plans and employer clients. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

GuideWell Connect, the consumer engagement business of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation (GuideWell), provides full-service, integrated consumer engagement solutions for the healthcare industry. With the addition of Onlife, the company now serves health plan and employer clients in 19 states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Washington).

Based in Nashville, Tenn., Onlife delivers digital member engagement and reward programs using technology and coaching solutions powered by analytics and behavioral science. The company offers wellness, chronic condition management, and tailored engagement to address gaps in care. Its solutions are delivered through Onlife’s My Journey portal and mobile applications, as well as through telephone and onsite resources. OnLife’s product suite extends across multiple health insurance lines of business, including group, individual, and Medicare Advantage.

TripleTree LLC acted as financial advisor and Foley & Lardner LLP acted as legal counsel to GuideWell in connection with the transaction.
