Onlife Health Earns 3-Year NCQA Accreditation

Comprehensive Evaluation Is Nationally Recognized for Its High Quality Standards

Brentwood, Tenn., September 1, 2017—Onlife Health, a data-driven health solutions company dedicated to transforming lives through healthier living, has received a 3-year Wellness & Health Promotion (WHP) Accreditation with Performance Reporting from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

NCQA’s WHP Accreditation involves rigorous review of the key functions wellness and health organizations perform, focusing specifically on areas of interest to consumers and employers. The accreditation uses standardized program measures that allow employers to make informed comparisons when choosing among several wellness vendors.

In order to be Accredited with a Performance Reporting, Onlife Health had to submit a specific number of results for NCQA’s standardized WHP Performance Measures in addition to meeting or exceeding NCQA’s standards. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations and manages the evolution of HEDIS®, the performance measurement tool used by 90 percent of the nation’s health plans.

“This NCQA accreditation once again demonstrates that our wellness solutions meet the nation’s highest evidence-based standards for quality,” said Mark McConnell, president and CEO of Onlife Health. “For the employers, health plans and other organizations that we serve, this accreditation is a strong confirmation that our wellness program has the personalized tools and resources to engage their employees or members in healthier behaviors. It takes a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to receive such a prestigious designation, so I also want to recognize and thank the Onlife team for their commitment to excellence.”

NCQA is a nationally recognized, comprehensive evaluation of key areas of health promotion, including how wellness programs are implemented in the workplace, how services such as health coaching are provided to help individuals make healthy lifestyle choices, and how sensitive health information is properly safeguarded.

WHP Accreditation involves rigorous on-site and off-site evaluations of 12 standards, including organization engagement, privacy and confidentiality, self-management tools, health coaching, and measuring effectiveness. A team of experts conducts surveys and a national oversight committee of physicians analyzes the findings and assigns an accreditation level based on the performance of each organization being evaluated.

“NCQA’s Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation requires organizations to demonstrate their compliance with well-defined standards and quality measures,” said Margaret E. O’Kane, NCQA President. “The NCQA seal will provide employers and consumers with the information they need to choose the best program in their markets.”
