Governor’s Foundation Recognizes Onlife Health as a Healthier Tennessee Workplace

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., July 28, 2015  – Onlife Health, Inc. announced that it has been named an official Healthier Tennessee Workplace by the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness. This marks the second consecutive year that Onlife has been recognized for encouraging and enabling employees to live healthy lifestyles at work and at home. The recognition also affirms Onlife’s mission in the work it does with clients and communities to help transform lives and promote healthy lifestyles.

“We commend Governor Haslam and the Foundation on their continuing support of the health and wellness of Tennesseans in our communities and workplaces,” said Danny Timblin, President and CEO of Onlife Health. “We are proud to be among the organizations across the state that clearly set health and well-being as priorities in attracting and retaining talent, and establishing healthy environments for new business.”

The Healthier Tennessee Workplaces program ensures that employers have a wellness program that:

  • Encourages and enables physical activity in the workplace.
  • Offers healthy eating options at work.
  • Provides a tobacco-free environment and assists with tobacco cessation.
  • Encourages and enables employees to monitor their own health.
  • Rewards employees for participating in health and wellness activities in and beyond the workplace.

“Onlife is committed to the belief that healthier people are happier people, and vice versa,” said Jerry Painter, Onlife’s Clinical Manager. “This is the philosophy our coaches teach to our members daily.”

“We all have a role to play in improving the health of our state, and the organizations we recognize today are helping lead the way,” Gov. Bill Haslam said. “[The companies recognized] have demonstrated a clear commitment to providing a culture of wellness in their workplaces and are having an impact on employee health, and in turn, the health of our state.”
