Onlife and Blue Goji Form Partnership To Add Gamification to Wellness Offering

Brentwood, Tenn., June 1, 2015—Onlife Health, a leader in workplace wellness, and Blue Goji, an interactive fitness and gaming company, have joined forces to add gamification capabilities to Onlife’s mix of comprehensive wellness solutions. The collaboration results in exciting new ways of engaging members in physical activity and exercise no matter their fitness level, and integrating their workout data into their health profiles where it can be accessed by health coaches and/or incentives administrators.

Founded by the creators of Guitar Hero, Blue Goji delivers the first true fitness gamification platform that transforms exercise equipment such as elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, stair-steppers, and treadmills into fun, interactive, arcade-like games. With the use of Bluetooth game controllers, participants play motion-activated interactive games that are fun and rewarding, while the technology tracks their distance, time, and calories.

“With 20 years of behavior-change experience, we are meticulously aware of how consumers engage with wellness and utilize various resources available to them,” said Danny Timblin, president and CEO of Onlife Health. “Through our mutual partnership with Blue Goji, we’re making it easier for individuals to connect with wellness through interactive, fun, and rewarding methods when they want and how they want, so wellness becomes part of their daily routine instead of an extra chore they need to do.”

Onlife Health has the expertise to integrate individuals’ gaming activities with the wellness plan, share the physical-activity data with health coaches, and apply it to administer employer-sponsored incentives.
